Hi, I’m Sabal KC, a full-stack and backend software engineer based in Houston, Texas, with an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Houston. I build practical systems across Go, JavaScript, Node.js, Python, React, and AWS, with a strong interest in automation, cloud architecture, AI agents, and applied research.

Most recently, I have been working as a Research Assistant at the University of Houston’s Office of Institutional Research, where I develop centralized reporting tools and data pipelines for institutional assessment workflows. My academic and research interests sit around AI systems, cloud computing, data-driven applications, and the way intelligent tools can support real-world workflows. Before UH, I worked at Dapi, a Y Combinator-backed fintech company, building backend services, browser automation infrastructure, scraping systems, SDKs, and deployment pipelines for open-banking integrations.

I have also been exploring AI agents, including an autonomous Moodle/Canvas agent built with LangGraph and Playwright to study the possibilities, limitations, and risks of AI automation in higher education.
